Closure Of Richmond Park to Vehicles

The Royal Parks have banned all vehicles from entering The Park; this is good news and bad news. We can no longer enter the Park with our vehicles but we can come in as pedestrians.  Dr Jenny Harries (Dep Chf Med Off for England) stated in the Press Conference on Friday that we can still exercise outdoors.  Therefore, I intend to continue the walks.  However, we must be strict with our contact and social-distancing.  We will breakdown into smaller groups.  We do not want to attract adverse attention with us being a large group, even though we will be adhering more strictly to the rules than many others.
For the Monday and Tuesday walks we will meet inside Sheen Gate at 09:15hrs.  Normally there is plenty of parking in the roads outside Sheen Gate (use postcode SW14 8BJ).  This is for a trail period and I will take feedback and workout alternatives for the rest of the week.  Please bear with me during this difficult and fluid time.
The good news is that The Park will probably be one of the quietest places around with no traffic, fewer pedestrians and less aircraft flying overhead, so our health will be better protected.
